We believe that consumer spending over the past five years in Spain has been exceptionally buoyant compared to many of the other European markets. GDP has been strong over the period, which has helped offset the economic damage caused by fairly high unemployment levels. Nevertheless, we believe that the trend for growth in spending on clothing to underperform all consumer spending will have continued.
